Keeping this possibility in mind, we decided that each student must complete at least five projects before they get the certificate,\u201d said Sujith Jayaprakash, Director and Business Head of OpenLabs.<\/p>\n<p id=\"cb9c\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jx jy im jz b ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks kt ku if gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">These projects are:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"\">\n<li id=\"69ef\" class=\"kv kw im jz b ka kb ke kf ki kx km ky kq kz ku la lb lc ld gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">A Bluetooth Controlled Car Using Arduino,<\/li>\n<li id=\"68fc\" class=\"kv kw im jz b ka le ke lf ki lg km lh kq li ku la lb lc ld gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">An Obstacle Detector using Arduino Ultrasonic Sensor Project,<\/li>\n<li id=\"6b3d\" class=\"kv kw im jz b ka le ke lf ki lg km lh kq li ku la lb lc ld gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Turning on a Light with Ultrasonic Motion Detection,<\/li>\n<li id=\"146f\" class=\"kv kw im jz b ka le ke lf ki lg km lh kq li ku la lb lc ld gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">PI sensing door alarm, and<\/li>\n<li id=\"f2e3\" class=\"kv kw im jz b ka le ke lf ki lg km lh kq li ku la lb lc ld gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Light Sensing Lamps<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p id=\"1671\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jx jy im jz b ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks kt ku if gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">She added that OpenLabs would use an innovative teaching method called PBL (Project Based Learning) in which students will learn by engaging with real-world problems, collaboration and application, instead of just memorising classroom theories.<\/p>\n<p id=\"e2b2\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jx jy im jz b ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks kt ku if gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">This robotics programme is among four brand new courses launched this year by OpenLabs which are specially designed for JHS and SHS graduates to add up a skill before they progress to their next academic milestone. The other three certifications are in MS-Office 2016, Hardware and Networking. JHS as well as SHS students are qualified to apply for any\/all of these courses.<\/p>\n<p id=\"181f\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jx jy im jz b ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks kt ku if gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">\u201cGhana cannot continue to rely on only her natural resources to achieve and sustain economic growth and development,\u201d Vice President Dr Bawumia had said in a gathering of Ghanaian technology experts in Silicon Valley.<\/p>\n<p id=\"6a1a\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jx jy im jz b ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks kt ku if gn\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Vodafone Ghana\u2019s CEO Patricia Obo-Nai had also recently pointed out that the youth must leverage technology to stay relevant. \u201cNow, more than ever, employers require employees to be familiar with the ever-growing number of technologies they implement.
