OpenLabs Ghana Wins IT Company of the Year

From the eve of 25th October, we have been in a transport of joy after winning the IT Company of the Year award by the Ghana Business Awards. Being in the category with highly competitive companies, we must admit, we stood rooted to the spot as we were called upon to receive a medal and the heavy cowry molded gold award.

However, casting our minds back to the impacts we’ve made on the IT industry through innovations and projects in the past and this present year, we are thankful for the successes so far. Some of the past activities included the Digital House of Chiefs — Where we traveled to Kyebi to equip rural folks with technical skills that went a long way to help them with the usage of modern agricultural farming methods and smartphones for banking purposes. Additionally, we organized an Apps Challenge event to throw spotlight on junior Software Engineers in Ghana. Also, our offer of free ICT training to the Ghana Education Service (GES) Teachers are but some of the activities we have embarked on.

Earlier this year we won the Gold Ashanti Excellence Business Awards, that in addition to this award is by dint of immense and consistent contribution to the industry and the economic growth of our nation as a whole. It is our greatest hope to extend our services to other parts of the country in order to bring more inclusion to the digital space hence, we shall continue to push boundaries while innovating to bring digital skills to everyone in West Africa.

We dedicate this award to all our cherished clients; to our entire team- Openlabs Accra, Openlabs Kumasi, Openlabs Tema, Openlabs Tamale and everyone connected to our brand. All the foreknown couldn’t have been possible single-handedly. We say thank you. Indeed, you make us the best!
